British Columbia relaxes immigration rules for international students

International students will now be eligible to immigrate to Canada if they have completed at least 50% of their studies in person at a university in British Columbia. If you stayed in your home country because you were unable to enter Canada during the COVID-19 pandemic, you may still be eligible for the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Programme (BC PNP) international student categories. The amendment is in response to the travel restrictions, in Canada and abroad, to curb the spread of the coronavirus. If you graduated on or after March 1, 2020 and 50% or more of your studies were be completed online, you will be eligible under the new rule.
