MONOLOGUE
Guidelines & Pieces
- Choose one from the two set pieces.
- Piece must be performed from memory, without holding the script.
- The title, author of the piece and character played have to be announced.
- Shall not exceed the time limit.
- Blocking shall be designed and developed.
- Simple set (ie 1 table, 2 chairs) allowed. Bulky items shall be avoided.
DRAMATIC DUOLOGUE
Guidelines & Pieces
- Choose one from the two set pieces.
- Both contestants must perform in the same space simultaneously.
- Piece can be chosen based on interest & ability, regardless of gender.
- Piece must be performed from memory, without holding the script.
- The title, author and each character played have to be announced.
- Shall not exceed the time limit.
- Blocking shall be designed and developed.
- Simple set (ie 1 table, 2 chairs) allowed. Bulky items shall be avoided.
Rules & FAQs
HTISF Awards
Harmony Tree International issues HTISF certificates based on the marks and levels achieved by contestants with grades including Distinction, Merit and Pass respectively. Contestants who pass the first round will receive their certificates.
HTISF qualification is recognized by 100+ top institutions from the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Switzerland, with a number of schools offered entrance or performing arts scholarships exclusively for HT. You can read more on the page of Global Recognition and Scholarships.
HTISF also awards special pennants for the top 5 contestants (pairs in the case of Dramatic Duologue) of each age group and category in the Grand Final.
Students registered by Educational Members will have their certs printed with 'Student of Member' for acknowledging the school's support. Find out more about how to get your school spotlighted on the world's stage!


Education Partner Excellence Awards
This Excellence Award recognises the outstanding commitment of active HTISF participating Schools and/or Education Partners to youth development and creative education. It honours the utmost dedication of educators to equip their students with invaluable skillsets and qualities demonstrated in each HTISF edition.

It is an exclusive inner circle platform created for all HTISF members, past or present. This year's events include ‘Alice in Wonderland Global Casting’ and ‘UCL Psychology Master's Sharing of Stage Secrets and Stories,’ with more exclusive summer events to be announced soon.
