The Prose Reading syllabus has been updated as part of a refined instructional design approach to better support students’ English language learning and reading comprehension development. Some texts are now adapted, extended, or creatively reimagined from the original works, with increased use of dialogue and more accessible language to support understanding of meaning, context, and language structure.This adjustment is intended to strengthen students’ language acquisition process by enhancing comprehension, contextual interpretation, and meaningful engagement with authentic literary content.At the same time, the academic standard and assessment framework remain unchanged.•. Students continue to be assessed using the same rigorous criteria, with consistent expectations in expression, interpretation, pronunciation, articulation, diction, and overall language delivery based on authentic literary sources.

The “Early Selection Envelope” is exclusively available to participants who complete their HTISF2027 registration between 1 July and 31 July 2026.

Each eligible participant will receive one of four assigned designs of the Selection Envelope via email within one week after completing registration. Each version is a limited early-surprise (registered between July 1st - 31st, 2026) and cannot be selected, changed, or reissued upon request.

To allow participants more time to prepare their submissions and to better align with the overall scheduling across different regions, the HTISF2027 video submission period has been adjusted to 1 November to 20 November 2026.We encourage participants to complete their recordings and submissions early, to allow sufficient time for reviewing video content and uploading, and to avoid any potential delays caused by network congestion or other technical issues close to the deadline.Thank you for your understanding and support.
